LAUNCH PARTY

...The airspace has been a bit dead lately, and HERE's why!!! We are expanding the EDIT umbrella!

Welcome to EDIT beauty HOUSE! This last Friday we celebrated our big LAUNCH PARTY at the lovely Les Madelienes bakery. What can we say about Les Madelienes???

Sweet Romina (owner and founder of the Cafe) studied at Le Cordon Bleu, and boy, did she bring her skills home with her! The treats were beyond tasty!! And you know what they say about treats... "The treats make the party." ...ok, maybe they don't say that...

Romina considered each of our products and introduced the star ingredients into the goodies! ...Lemon meringue tarts, lavender lemonade, black & white cookies with our logo in the frosting(!), and other fancies I hadn't even heard of.

What a charming atmosphere!

We want to thank all you sweet friends and family who dropped in to try out our all-natural beauty products. We had so much fun educating all of you, and sharing our story! We can't wait to hear how you enjoy your all-organic products!

I can't believe how much I've learned since this little journey began. It's amazing to be able to share some beauty secrets, and we can't wait to share more.

We also want to sent a little high five to those of you who visited online! (If you didn't get the chance to hop over on Friday, join us today! There are bits of our story online, with updates coming all the time!)

We had a wildly successful night, and can't wait to share more with everyone out there!!!

Come again soon!

MORE FROM LAS VEGAS

Happy Monday!

I hope you are enjoying the weather! After a long winter, and a fluke bit of summer, we are finally enjoying spring!! I have absolutely loved the thunderstorms and buckets of rain!!! I had a loooooong, busy weekend, but am finally getting back into the swing of things this morning. Here's a bit of inspiration from last week's Expo in Las Vegas, that got me rolling. Enjoy!

Have a great week!

DESIGNER SPOTLIGHT - ML INTERIOR DESIGN

With the weekend so close you can taste it, I just wanted to share a little design inspiration! Husband and I are going to be remodeling our kitchen this weekend, so we need all the pep we can get!

Please enjoy a few treats from ML INTERIOR DESIGN. Have you heard of Marisa? She does lovely, fresh design work, and we find her very inspiring! Having grown up in the heart of all things glamour, you can tell she has design in her bones. I especially love the soft, but rich colors she implements into her spaces.

Can you believe the charm of this entry?!! What a way to welcome your guests!

I LOVE this rug!!! Isn't it fabulous?!! I also love the clever mixing of chair styles and fabrics. It keeps an element of interest for the dining room.

SANDBOXR - DESIGNER TRIBUTE

This last weekend, we were fortunate to attend the company launch of Sandboxr, at the Leonardo Museum. It was SO exciting, motivational, etc! We are always proud of all you guys who take life by the horns and make it into something you love!!

You remember this post from a week-or-so ago about 3D Printing Furniture? Well, Sandboxr also uses 3D printing, but YOU get to do the custom design; and this time, it gets to be a custom  toy / figure / character!

Here's the hot spotlight from our good friend Berk Frei
Check him out at sandboxr.com!

Ciao for Now!

SKETCH FURNITURE BY FRONT DESIGN

Have you ever wished that your concepts and ideas could come to life in a matter of minutes? We have! And the Swedish Ladies at Front Design have figured out how to make this happen with their Sketch Furniture. Through the use of a 3D printer and coinciding computer program, the furniture is sketched, "printed" and ready to use. Brilliant! Check it out.

What would you create? Cheers!

FORM MEETS FUNCTION

We'd like to introduce you to a new series on our blog called "Form Meets Function!"

You can be sure to find things here that are not only beautiful, but also do a good job, doing their job. (...and vice versa) ;)

First, check out the
[Desile Folding Chair]
This handy gem is intriguing in its form as a chair, yet makes the perfect modern artwork for your dining room wall... ...when guests are not using it ;)

When designing a space, we always try to think about how things are going to function for the owners. We like the idea of having extra seating without having to commit a lot of square footage to chairs that will only be used occasionally.

Z016147When we're talking design[!] one of the biggest topics that comes up besides how something works & looks, is how it affects its environment. There's been a big movement lately to go away from the (although stunning)  power-sucking light bulbs... to newer, more efficient kinds of lighting. UNFORTUNATELY, most of them are not-so-pretty to look at.

That's why we were STOKED when we stumbled upon THIS
[CFL Bulb!]
About Bulbs
It is a TOTAL throwback to our favorite bulbs, but also uses much less energy. It does a better job doing its job, and looks great doing it!

Now. Let's get down to business. It's winter. It's cold. Some of us need HOT COCOA. BUT... what about the cookies that go with?? I know I tend to skip out on them sometimes, because of the hassle of: the extra plate, crumbs...
Well, never fear because we have discovered
dunk_mug_froth_cut
This guy is great because on top of containing crumbs, it also rations the number of cookies I'm tempted to sneak away with! :)

Last, but not least... I want you to meet our pal

Pinned Image

This is one of my favorites in Form Meets Function, because it is great as a stand-alone piece, yet it is EVEN COOLER when it's doing its job. I know this one is definitely on my wish list!

Thanks for Stopping!
xx,
The 'Gang' :)
